Reduced price. This rig is great, just can't move paintings and sleep in it with my dog on intended trip. FJ has factory PS and original AC, which makes it extra manueverable in tight spots hunting or in back country. Features include: roll bar, stock straight 6 engine, 61,000 on odometer (see pic on picasa album). Oil & lube every 3500 mi. All service records available. Reliable, have driven x-country several times. Any backcountry use has been moderate.
Vehicle has been in central Oregon for four years, previously AZ and NV. Present owner has had vehicle @ ten years.
RESTORATION includes:new toyo windshield and gasket, center arm rebuilt with OEM parts (steers straight and tight),motor for windshield wipers, brakes pads and lines, recharged AC - blows cold, lug bolts on front hubs replaced, carb fan, brake master cylinder, 3pt seatbelt on drivers side (none on passenger),
re-weld of spare tire mount, resurfaced and painted all after market wheels (black), locks syched from 5 keys to 3(gas cap, doors/ignition, ambulance door), carb fan reconnected with a toggle switch (see pic), replaced aging contacts in wiring to front lights last month with checkup for elec system and all good . INTERIOR: all seat upholstery excellent including original jump seats, interior floor has had rust removed and resurfaced with textured black paint, no cd player but wires for replacement, roof liner (grey) excellent. EXTERIOR: orig red w/ clear coat, has tow mount on front bumper, hardtop has not been removed during my ownership since 2001.
SUSPENTION & TIRES: modest lift, shackles are longer than stock with good arch in the leaf springs. Currently running 31 inch BFG AT's with matching spare. 33's could fit with no problem. 2 new BFG’s last summer. NOTES: easy top speed @ 63 mph, AC is a luxury, PS makes it a easy cruise. Driven cross country solo AZ - MT, then MT to OR (2x) and is reliable rig.
